Introduction
This information is for individuals who have been provided with a link to this page via direct email from Red Gate Farm. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our office staff. We appreciate your willingness to help us with our programs!
When do I work? Please review the shifts listed below and send an email to our office staff noting which shifts you want to work. The easiest way is to cut & paste the shifts you are interested in working into the email. Pay is by shift, and is the equivalent of $18 per hour. Shifts are typically listed 4-8 weeks ahead of program start dates. Crossed-out shifts indicate we do not need any additional PT help during those time blocks. Your approved shifts will be confirmed via email.
How many shifts? We often have a lot of shifts available and are glad to have as much or as little help as you are able to give. Want to do a lot (and earn a lot?) - sign up for a bunch! Not sure? Sign up for some, and keep revising. We generally fill shifts on a first-come first-served basis.
Training required? No. Based on your skills and experience we may provide you with some short training. But in all cases, you will be working with and assisting our full-time staff, and so training is not required. A love and interest in children is required, and an ability to follow directions and always be kind are the other requirements. It is not hard, but it is incredibly meaningful work.
Food? Part-time Teachers are always invited to join us for breakfast (7:30am), lunch (12pm) and dinner (6pm) - just please RSVP ahead of time if the meal is outside your scheduled hours.
Know someone great? If you know someone else who would be a great teacher, loves working with kids and would be interested in working on the farm, please feel free to pass along a link to our employment page so we can get them on our list.
