Introduction
Red Gate Farm is looking for part-time teachers to assist with our overnight school programs during the Spring and Fall season. Part-time teachers are adults who are interested in working with kids and assisting our full-time staff lead farm work projects and other activities. No farm experience is required, although it is helpful to have some experience working with kids.

When do I work? For successful applicants, we publish a list of availalble shifts for the upcoming season, and folks can sign up on a first-come first-serve basis. Typical shifts are Monday - Friday, 3-7 hours long, and mulitple shifts per day are availalble for those who would like to have a busy week. Pay is by shift and is the equivalent of $18 per hour.

How many shifts? We often have a lot of shifts available and are glad to have as much or as little help as you are able to give. Want to do a lot (and earn a lot?) - sign up for a bunch! Not sure? Sign up for some, and keep revising. We generally fill shifts on a first-come first-served basis.

Training required? No. Based on your skills and experience we may provide you with some short training. But in all cases, you will be working with and assisting our full-time staff, and so training is not required. A love and interest in children is required, and an ability to follow directions and always be kind are the other requirements. It is not hard, but it is incredibly meaningful work.

Food? Part-time Teachers are always invited to join us for breakfast (7:30am), lunch (12pm) and dinner (6pm) - just please RSVP ahead of time if the meal is outside your scheduled hours.
