    Volunteers

    In addition to programs, Red Gate Farm offers volunteer opportunities and other service learning experiences. Children and adults learn by doing as they contribute to the hard work of keeping a farm alive.

    Volunteers typically commit to 2 hours per week or event, and all volunteers must be at least 14 years of age or accompanied by an adult. If you are interested in becoming part of our volunteer family, contact Jennifer Bennett in the office at (413) 625-9503 or email Jennifer@redgatefarm.org



    We are looking for volunteers for the following special events:



    Volunteer Day (June)
    Share in the laughter and a spirit of community as you help build a special place. Click here to learn more






    Gardens (April - October)
    Help us maintain our gardens. Some tasks include weeding, watering, and transplanting. Come learn about gardening while you help us out!


    Summer BBQ (July)Coming up soon!
    Our Summer BBQ is our way of celebrating our community. Volunteers are needed to help prep and clean up.

    Friends of the Farm Dinner (September)
    Our biggest event of the year, volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks for prep week, day-of, and clean up.

    Haunted Farm (October)
    Volunteers are needed to help us with prep work and to run the event with a variety of tasks including face painting, welcome table, games, and haunted hayride actors/actresses.

    Fire & Ice (February)
    Volunteers are needed for prepping during the day of the event and staffing help during this fun sledding, bonfire, and bbq night.


    Family Farm Chores (Year Round)
    Get to know our animals by helping us with morning or afternoon chores. Families need to commit to a once a week am or pm chore shift for at least one season. We will train and help you until you are comfortable on your own. Our animals love to see new faces!
